About the Artist:
Art is in my blood, and it’s something I strive to prefect. I have been drawing all my life, and thanks to the wonders of computers I can bring my talents in new directions. Along with sequential art, another passion of mine is video games. I have studied both their visual aspects and development process. I now seek a position where I can utilize my traditional talents and 3D abilities to their fullest.

I got recruited by a friend to do some miscellaneous characters for a swords and sorcery type game; Aeon. Yes, he is well aware of that he chose the name of a popular title, and only spelled it differently, so no point in bringing that up. Anyway I've posted up an untextured version of a race I've created and concepted. The humble Gryllidea. A monk like race who revere knowledge and whatever else the back story says about them, that I didn't write.

Unfortunately I've had to cancel workings on Ninjas Vs. Pirates due to lack of interest. Sad to say this clash of historic icons will not be seen made into reality by my hands at this time. After almost a year of posting on random forums and trying to get chummy with programmers, the team did not get the support it needed. Ah, well the idea will always be crammed in the back of my head (and on some random hard drive) to be excavated for some future attempt. Now you will excuse me, while i go drowned myself in rum and Raman noodles... Why is the rum gone?!

I had a great birthday this year thanks to all my family and friends! But now it's back to old grindstone. Here are a few WORK IN PROGRESS renders of Link [1, 2, 3]. The reference image i'm using is from a cross over episode of Nintendo's Captain N: The Game Master series. I really enjoyed this as it was based off one of my personal favorite Zelda titles, The Adventures of Link. When he's all finished i'll put a nice presentation shot in my gallery. I've also been working on a nice little bit of fan-fiction that I plan on implementing into something as soon as fiddle around with the Source engine.

A lot has been going on with work and my miscellaneous projects so I haven’t preformed the regular maintenance of my site. I am, despite current belief, still alive and kicking. I’m afraid to say that the only update there is for now is my contact info as I've just bought myself a cell phone. While my friends may know me for my hermit like tendencies, the rest of the world will become aware once I’ve explained a recent finding. Readers of the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy may know a character in the fourth book called "Wonko the Sane" and the fact that he builds an inside-out house called the Asylum to contain the earth. The thing he claims that drove him to do this was rather insane act was that one day he happened to read the instructions on a package of toothpicks. He decided that “…any civilization that had so far lost its head as to need to include a set of detailed instructions for use in a package of toothpicks was no longer a civilization in which he could live and stay sane”. I have found a similar sad tribute to the state of the world on the box of my new purchase. Here are overly complicated instructions for how to open said container. I shudder to think how the actual user manual will read.

Just a few simple updates. First off, there were some changes in my contact information, and in my resume to reflect my current job. More iImportantly, the site for my game project Ninjas Vs. Pirates is up. I was a little slow to put news about that up as I'm still scrounging for team members. Never the less I will build what I can on my own piece by piece. Also I have a few new items up at cafepress. My personal favorite being the one featuring the 'but, I can change' line said by many guilt parties over the years. Unfortunately They have decided to take down my "Keytar Hero" shirt as it conflicts with their usage laws. I believe it was different enough, but it was really made as a joke and only people who listen to a certain radio station would get it.

Time for another new image to be loaded into my art section I've just finished what I call "Celestial Armor". It's an old character of mine (see if any of my close friends can guess), who I've felt was due for some sort of revamping. I looked at this project as a good opportunity to polish up my coloring/shading abilities. I think I did very well with the light source from the lower right, and the over exposure it casts on the character. I'm am still tweaking of course, and I'm think of adding some kind of text vertically along the right side. Anyway, enjoy!
